Explore Cheile Nerei on SUP

A four-day experience, in which you will enjoy the most spectacular landscapes in the Danube Cauldrons area and beyond.

The departure is from Bucharest, and in the evening you have the opportunity to watch the sunset in the Danube Cauldrons, to have dinner and sit for stories on the waterfront. At the beginning of this experience we explore on the water the majestic Cauldrons of the Danube, the caves and museums along this route. Here, the banks of the Danube become almost vertical walls, which narrow the river so much that the water depth exceeds 100 m.

The next day we set off on SUP downstream on the Danube with paddling breaks at hidden caves. At the end of this stage of the experience, after the lunch break, they will leave for Nera's Keyes, where the participants will stay for two nights. The third day is full of adventure because you will travel the Nera river on SUP, and in the evening the lazy sunset can be admired from the peaks of the Nera's Keyes National Park – Beușnița.

On the last day, we SUP in the place where the Nera formed the most beautiful gorge in the Carpathians, we visit the Beiusnita waterfall, and if we have time left, we also reach the Bigar waterfall!

GENERAL DATA

Requirements for participants:

This trip is for beginners who have already practiced Stand Up Paddle and know how to keep their balance, paddle and turn the board.

In the first evening, a SUP and River SUP course will be held, to increase safety and facilitate communication with guides / instructors on expeditions.

It should be mentioned that the form in which the SUP will be practiced on the Danube is exploratory at speed, and due to the high flow of the river, the participants will be constantly moved by the current. In Cheile Nerei, the form of SUP is relaxing, with portions of River SUP and, depending on the flow, on some short portions the participants will get off the board to cross the small water.
