The Armenian community of Bucharest has given important names for the history of the city, and not only.
Among the personalities with Armenian ancestry are: Spiru Haret, Theodor Aman, Krikor Zambaccian or Ana Aslan. They all relate, in one way or another, their name to the Armenian area of Bucharest.
The Armenian Quarter is an identity island of the city of Bucharest, which was born around the Armenian Church. An important monument for the city, it was built as a place of prayer that will survive over time. Then came the handicraft workshops, shops, cafes and everything related to the spirit and culture of the Armenians.
Come with us to discover, leisurely, the stories of the Armenian Quarter and to walk on its quiet streets with the perfume of the past.
We will hear stories about Armenians in Bucharest, from past and more recent centuries, about their customs and traditions, we will see the oldest house in Bucharest and we still have a lot of stories to hear and things to discover.
