Discover Bribri indigenous culture - Live from Costa Rica

Bribri, the largest indigenous population in Costa Rica, lives in communities very isolated from the rest of the population, deep in the heart of the rainforest, in the mountains of the Talamanca region. The community has its own culture rich in thousands of years old traditions, which have been passed down from generation to generation. Although Bribri has their own language, many are bilingual and also speak Spanish.

Many of the Bribri settlements are only accessible by river. Their cities often include community buildings, schools, and conical houses as spiritual centers. Some buildings have running water and limited electricity, but in general, bribris live in rustic houses on stilts, isolated from each other.

Join us on an out of the box tour where you will discover and learn interesting things about the Bribri indigenous culture. You will learn more about their beliefs and way of life, and because they are a community that masters the art of growing cocoa beans, you will see how these trees are grown and how chocolate is prepared by this community that has been using recipes for thousands of years.

After confirming the availability of the guide, select the experience on our website and follow the necessary steps to reserve your place, followed by payment.
