Tapas and the Las Ventas arena tour in Madrid

During your stay in the Spain's capital, enjoy the Iberian vibe and combine two typical Spanish experiences into one: tapas with a tour of the famous Las Ventas arena (the third largest in the world).

Thus, after or before the tour of the Las Ventas arena (with all that means from discovering its secret corners to strolling through the beautiful Las Ventas Museum which houses a large art collection as well as the costumes of the most famous bullfighters in Spain) you can stop for a typical Spanish snack - tapas - in the tavern Gastronomica La Tienta, located about 50 meters from the arena.

La Tienta is one of the most traditional tapas taverns in the Las Ventas district, with a long history. It opened its doors in 1952 and, if its walls could speak, it would have thousands of anecdotes to tell. At the same time, La Tienta is the place where, for over 60 years, tapas, beers, wines have been served and the well-known flamenco shows take place.

GENERAL DATA

Requirements for participants:

It is necessary to keep the access voucher throughout the tour;

The voucher can only be used for the date for which it was purchased;

The last access with entrance and audio guide is made 1 hour before closing;

Preserving this heritage is everyone's responsibility, so please respect special places such as the Chapel or Museum;

For the safety of participants in the tour, drinks, food, umbrellas or luggage must remain outside the museum;

For your convenience, the Museum has a box office service where you can leave bags, backpacks and packages;

Photographs can be taken throughout the arena, but it is not allowed to take photos and video footage inside the museum;

The tour is adapted for people with mobility difficulties;

The route of the tour may vary in case of events or maintenance works.

Important information

The tour does not include transportation to and from the location. This is done on its own by each participant;

Access point for the Las Ventas arena: Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, C. de Alcalá, 237, 28028 Madrid, entrance through the museum;

Access point for the La Tienta tavern: Calle Alejandro González 7, 28028 Madrid.

Tours take place every day of the year (except January 1 and December 25);

On bullfighting days, access to tours is off two hours before the event;

Estimated duration of the experience: 60-90 minutes.

Tuesday-Sunday from 10:00 to 15:30 (last access time; local time);

La Tienta tavern is closed on Monday.
